Wasn't sure whether to post anything about #AgenderPrideDay day, but, well...

I sort of do and don't identify as agender. I answer agender (when it's possible to do so) on questionnaires etc. I put myself down as agender on the census.

It still feels too specific for me to really feel comfortable with. Not being able to commit to anything is why I most readily identify as ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯.

But still! I'm happy that agender identity exists, as a community I can feel close to.

Also happy that I can talk about this here, with you lovely people, because I sure as hell can't in the outside world. People out there just see me as a somewhat odd, large bloke. Even though I've never felt like a bloke. So I can happily be either agender or ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ whilst I'm here.

Happy Agender Pride Day!

While I identify as non-binary, the concept of agender (that is: not having a gender or a "lack" of gender, being neither man or woman, or being both man or woman) stands out to me as the closest label.

My journey to identifying as non-binary started with the concept of being agender, of having no gender, though I still like to joke that for me it's a bit like wanting to be a Ken doll.
