Or the Simpsons effect? Where characters behave certain way because it is expected the would? It seems like after some time such media start to rely very heavily on recognisability of such characters and less around adventure and events happening around. Recently I listened to few of such podcasts like #MightyDeeds and #AGrimPodcastOfPerilousAdventure and it seems after 50-60 episodes it just keeps going like that. I mean no shade on these podcasts 2/
