It has been a pretty typical August here in north-central North Carolina, which is to say hot and humid. But today, after the edges of TS Idalia swept past us in the wee hours, there are just a few clouds, it's 80, and the dew point is down around 50. Top 10 Day of the Year for porch #weather. And tomorrow's supposed to be just like it. #Ahhhhh

Managed to book an island sun vacation for end of the month, the capacity problems and (resulting?) bugs of the tour operator website not withstanding.

Now flying around that island in MS Flight Simulator in a float plane. Saw "our" resort (very basic AI building based on satellite imagery, but it was there) and landed on the ocean in front of it.
