In reading a handful of articles about the rise of "AI Engineer" roles, where some argue that a skillset of prompt engineering and familiarity with existing AI products as necessary... I'm not sure that I fully agree.

Yes, there are skills that need to be added to your repertoire. But much like the deep learning wave, it seems that outside of deep understanding for cutting edge research, the hardest parts of LLMs and AI is still the infrastructure built around them.
