Why do people keep calling "AI art" art? In my mind it works better with AI generated images because that is what it is. Just lice CG. AIGI makes it sound less human and doest give it the approval for being art because it's not created it is assimilated.

@Saltybretzel I agree with this action, (even though I publish AI generated Imagery), because Artstation is the wrong platform for this stuff.

AI generated imagery is problematic enough, (because of the datasets), without fools trying to monetize it as if it is art.
I personally have no problem with non-commercial usage of this stuff, but we need ethically sourced datasets with clear opt-in/opt-out features and settings.

As Ai Generated Images are a hot topic right now, I'm just going to say I think we should steer away from the term Ai Art and the hashtag #AiArt in favor of Ai Generated Images or #AIGI

I saw this hashtag on @felikssenitsch post earlier, and I'm in agreement in that if we establish that this is not art just because it is an image. No artist has worked on it and an #AiArtist is not a human.

Just throwing it out there as a suggestion!

@scalzi This is the stance every writer should have right now.
Until datasets are Opt-In (and Opt Out), commercial use of AI art is dubious at best.
I will add, I personally have no problem with non-commercial use, unless the ai generated images are mimicking another human artists work.
I think we should be calling this stuff AI generated Images, rather than AI Art and am going for the hashtag #AIGI to replace #AiArt
