He introduced 200 #Plants to England, including the #Ailanthus or #Tree of #Heaven, #Planted in rows near his grave.

John Bartram sent him new specimens from America. He also corresponded w/ Linnaeus & Benjamin Franklin.

Peter once wrote a line that is inscribed on #Sundial-s,

"Forget not me and my #Garden."

Peter's final words were, "Few men have enjoyed life more. I cheerfully resign!"
