Getting some good stretches in by way of some “slight” overinflation. Berninger reluctantly agreed to be the anchor, but wasn’t quite paying attention before the air started getting thinner. Looks like he’s going to need to reschedule his afternoon plans (again).

A big main event is set for tomorrow, and Wick's got to make sure he's in the right spot for his setup, entrance and plan to take place.

Unfortunately for the villain, it's very high up with no easy access point from the ground. So to the group chat he goes with some late night-last minute thoughts.

I don't normally do these themed month projects - but Airborne August seemed particularly interesting.

I'll be attempting to do some flash fiction of various unconnected events relating to my villain character, Wick / Upsurge.

This'll be non-linear, and be warned I'm no writer, but still, hopefully this is still somewhat interesting.

I've got some catching up to do as I started late - so this may become AirborneAugust-going-on-Autumn.

#AirborneAugust - Day 3- Bubble -pt1

Sun beat down on the warm summer day, driving many folks out to the park to chill in the water fountains. Chaotic followed suit, scampering along in his swim trunks, eager to dive in the moment he’d arrive.

At least until, a small bubble interrupted him on the less-traveled path in the park. Passing in front of his face, he blinked, spinning around to find the source with a blush.

Before he could even react, a big, bushy, blue skunk tail wrapped around him. “Hey there, bubble boy. You’re looking offly underdressed,” came an all-too-familiar voice.

Chaotic barely got his squirming head out of the fluff in time to see Volaire grinning at him. “W-wh…l-let me go already!”

Volaire shrugged, “Not before we’ve got you in your proper attire at least!” He rustled his massive tail more around the raccoon, and a soapy film seemed to build up. “Just a few moments will do.”

Chaotic whined and squirmed in the vicegrip of the skunk’s tail, feeling a bubbly membrane pressing all over him, engulfing the the surprised raccoon and leaving him blushing all the more, “H-huh?!”

As quickly as it began, Volaire clapped his paws together and released the helpless dork. “That ought to do it, bubble boy, in your proper place now. Enjoy your day…and the rest of forever!~” he mused, already turning to walk away, looking back with a knowing grin.

#AirborneAugust - 2 - Awakening - Pt1

He’d walked by that massive ad balloon countless times. The buoyant, blissfully unaware blimp drifted careless above the store, and it practically gloated at Chaotic every day. But today was different.

Something had awakened in him. No longer did he walk by and simply blush at the thought. No more would he stifle the thought of that big pressurized balloon taunting him at the impossibility. Not another day would go by that he would suppress and deny the itching feeling in the back of his mind. No…

Today…today he would embrace that desire. The need almost, not to have or to want or to daydream, but to BE that balloon. In this moment he’d throw caution to the wind, give in to his growing obsession, and awaken to that nagging feeling. He’d trade it all to be greedily filled with that helium, and leave the ground on those tethers, and be the balloon people could see for blocks around. No matter the consequences.

Dropping his bag, ditching his bike, he eagerly leapt up the fence to clamber up to the roof of the store. It’d already closed for the night, and not a soul appeared to be around. He looked up at his prize, his soon-to-be natural state, his purpose, bobbing above him on it’s tethers. At least 20 feet around, the blimp taunted him in silence still.

He didn’t even care to look around, it didn’t matter if anyone seen. A tow cable hooked up to a winch left to allow for the staff to drag down the balloon soon whirred to life. Inching closer and closer, his tail swished about as the balloon came into reach. One by one he removed the tethers on the balloon, praying the tow cable would hold it down. And one by one he attached those tethers to him, over his wrists, tail, and ankles.

Riilu swallowed hard as he realized S-01 wasn't going to let him go, the short robot girl with huge ears grinned at him before effortlessly floating up onto his belly. She had already inflated Riilu into a massive balloon, and she'd no doubt do it again. Following him wherever he goes to torment him by messing with his shape and size. She leaned in and whispered into his ear "Even if I end up destroying you, I'll just reform you and do it again~"

There truly was no escape from her.

Riilu was lying flat on the ground, indeed very flat, his body looked like a deflated weather balloon, he had really overdone it and now he wont go back to his normal shape after he deflated. Oh bother.
