I learned a few days ago that Iowa under Governor Reynolds has become even shittier.

On April 1st of this year, they stopped reporting ALL Covid information to the CDC. They stopped all programs related to it, so I got useless TestIowa kits now.

The only data I have about Covid here comes from the wastewater monitoring programs through biobot. That is still ongoing.

Iowa is actively choosing eugenics and building up unconstitutional laws that are genocidal against trans people of any race, sexuality, class, ethinic group.

Iowa also passed an unconstitutional law recently to try to ban "divisive" topics, which means punishing teachers for teaching about LGBTQIA people and our history and about race and Black history.

I call both unconstitutional because they violate Iowa constitution that prohibits discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, etc. But while it is fought in court, these laws will still cause extreme harm.
