More angles of the Westland Lynx HMA-8 Airfix model.

I put what I had learnt from miniature painting into the paint job on this; without it would have just got block paint colours, this has shading and blending and washes, etc.

I managed to get this -now discontinued-1/48 kit off of #eBay of the BAC TSR-2. It's absolutely humongous: keys and lighter for scale 🤣
And I even got lucky with the -also discontinued- #Eduard instrument panels set. also on ebay.

It's a very simple model with 25 or so parts and it fits together pretty well, although I think the tooling was wearing out a bit when this one was pressed. It gets the shape perfectly. The interior detail is lacking however.

The opening sequences to #TopGunMaverick gave me flashbacks of me as a child playing #FlightDeck #Airfix #AirfixFlightDeck not sure many people remember the Flight Deck game. Used to have to land a plane on a ship deck. The plane flew down some fishing line. Wasn’t a computer game. Loved it.

Here's one I did a while back, Airfix jet provost jet trainer.

In 1/72 scale. This was the first time I painted with an airbrush, I also did pre-shading under the gloss red.

Started *another* side project. WWII Pacific #portablewargame in 1/72. Those impulse-buy #Airfix US Marines + Japanese Infantry that I picked up for buttons one Summer holiday are finally getting their marching orders! #wargames

And we now have the wheels on the #Airfix Fouga Magister. It sits nicely on the wheels, which is unusual for plastic models of jet aircraft - they often tip up and become "tail sitters". I forgot to paint the undercarriage doors, so they aren't fitted yet!
