The museum occupies the control tower and surrounding area of what was once RAF Dumfries, two miles north-east of the centre of Dumfries. Day out to #MontroseAirStationHeritageCentre today 😃 We saw the #Spitfire, rang the bell and found a nice #dog bed in the Station Commanders Office! There's an #AnimalsAtWar exhibit about various animal heroes from Vic a real #WarHorse to Bamse to Winkie the passenger pigeon! We headed along to the new exhibit with the #HawkerHunter and the #Tornado. Fantastic to see it out on display 😃
