Similarly, #mold problems are very common.

Both are health hazards that are wildly underestimated.

On the nice to have side, #AirFiltration would also limit unwanted distractions in classrooms like seasonal allergy symptoms.

A fun bit about public fund mismanagement without internal misconduct.

The cost of adding adequate #AirFiltration / #AirPurification to a school is generally (by far) inferior to the total cost hospitalizations & chronic illness from not doing it will induce.

The public is left with the bill in both cases.

So on a systemic level, not investing in air purification in schools is very literally wasting public funds by choosing the least efficient & highest suffering path.

For sure masks as well, but we might well just... not have air-transmitted epidemics & pandemics anymore if #AirQuality was a basic thing one could assume to be good everywhere.

I built a #CorsiRosenthal box in NZ. 50cm box fan from Mitre 10, filters sadly from Amazon. I ordered 50x75 by accident - I meant to get 50x50 - so the unit is taller than I had intended.

Interestingly Amazon.com refused to ship to NZ but Amazon.com.au was happy to, even though the seller was in the US. Go figure.

Insect screen is a prefilter because we have cats. Nothing sticks well to that mesh, so maybe use some other kind of mesh fabric.

Thoughts on Dyson's air purifying headphones? I think the lack of a tight seal around the face is a huge miss for this product. Would have been great if it had it as it wold make for a great mask, being able to easily flip it down when you didn't need it on and the fact it's air purifying.
