I used subsonic for years and was so upset when it went closed-source. Have been hunting for a replacement ever since. I do love #jellyfin, but only for movies and shows. It is not suitable for music or books. Like at all...
I tried the "music" app for nextcloud, which supposedly exposes the subsonic API, but for as big as my collection is it never worked well. So now I'm looking at #airsonic-advanced. It will not be running on an rpi, but an actual machine with resources.

On.avait un mini-PC de quelques années sous-utilisé dans le salon. En gros, il faisait juste jukebox #MPD et substitut de Deezer auto-hébergé avec #Airsonic.
Cet après-midi, on lui ajouté #Kodi et le VPN qui va bien (la SD du Pi3 qui faisait le taf depuis des années a lâché il y a quelques mois), et #Retroarch parce qu'on le vaut bien.
Du coup, fin de journée tatane à Street Fighter en famille, puis soirée film sympa avec ma meilleure moitié. Un bon début de week-end, en somme.

@Cheatha Mir wurde auch immer und immer wieder "Layla" in die Vorschläge gepackt. Passt voll in die Metal Playliste. Oder in die "Elektro" Playliste...
Egal. Hat mich aber veranlasst meine Eigene MP3-Sammlung mal aufzupolieren, zu sortieren, und nen eigenen Streaming Server einzurichten. Läuft bisher super :)

Finally I can retire #Ampache migrated to #Airsonic and have now a work g Audioserver which actually works.
#Navidrone looks promising though, but I'm missing too much functions (like more than one media folder).

Huzzah! I've got my #raspi #airsonic server running again.
I thought I'd broken something when I installed my new router. Turns out it was Airsonic's annual fall-over-for-no-apparent-reason moment coinciding with a new router.
Flashed my backup image to the SD card and away we go!

@Shardiech I have several. A couple serving files and backing up files. One running #osmc (multimedia player) , another running #airsonic (music server), there's pi-hole running somewhere, and another that might have a website on it, but is destined for some dev work.

I gave one to a friend, set up as an FTP server...
