These are the words of Chantal Akerman, who would become one of the defining women filmmakers in the 1970s and 1980s, but perhaps especially in the 1990s and at the turn of the millennium.
I came late to her work, but it stayed with me. If you need recommendations, I suggest "Jeanne Dielman", "D'est" and "Là-bas" for a start. "News from Home" and "No Home Movie" are also important.
