I knew the big twist going into #AkibaMaidWar. I had seen clips of that scene. I was still not prepared.

I am used to joke premises like this leaning hard on the fact that the absurdity alone can sell the concept. Putting in the effort to actually choreography the performance like an idol anime and singing for the full minute and a half is just on a whole other level.

Maybe being sleep deprived makes it extra surreal but I think that's the right choice?

Just watched the last of "Akiba Maid Sensou"

It's not for all or even many, but it was the best anime of the year for me.

Starts out violent and never very serious, but turns serious in the middle. Very gritty, very dark.

#ReincarnatedAsASword is one that surprised me. Started to pass on it because I thought it was just another silly isekai, but it turned out to be great. The dynamic of Shisho the Sword basically becoming a father-figure to Nell was a nice departure from the usual isekai nonsense. Plus, the visuals during the OP make me laugh with how hard it goes.

I need to catch up on #AkibaMaidWar, #UruseiYatsura, and #LoveFlops. Didn't expect to enjoy that last one, but it's silly and hooked me somehow.

Finished up #AkibaMaidWar, #ReincarnatedAsASword and #BibliophilePrincess yesterday. I love each show for very different reasons!

Granted, I'm not particularly discerning in my media. I basically have 5 categories.

1) This is not for me, so I won't watch.

2) This is not what I thought/not very good, I will no longer watch it (about 5% of what I start).

3) This is objectively not good, but I am entertained. (15%)

4) I like it! (65%)

5) I love it! (15%)

Just finished watching the last episode of #AkibaMaidWar, wich was great, a lot of surprises, including the opening and ending changes :KannaNomception:

I wasn't sure what way the series would take after the events of episode 11, it could have been anything!
