Faith Yamato, the beloved owner of Kamakura Restaurant, passed away on February 5, 2023, just short of her 99th birthday. She took over Kamakura Restaurant in 1981 and ran it until a fire put her out of business in 2017. Adam Gillitt reflects on her kindness and hospitality as Alameda mourns her loss together.
