This might be the most uplifting thing I've read this week. It's a very approachable way of thinking about applying #DeGrowth principles to your life.
While I subscribe to the idea that 'perfectionism is the enemy of good' when it comes to ethical choices surrounding climate action, sometimes the indecision of 'am I going to get this right?' is enough to do nothing at all.
It's a good reflection on #DePopulation centres (Like the €1 Mediterranean homes or the Japanese #Akiya #空き家) that result from urban migration and the narrative of 'a better life' that could be places for renewal, new modes of organising and slowing down that could be open to all.

Went and had a peek at this #akiya on Sado a couple weeks ago. for ¥500,000 why not? The house was a total wreck. The garage / shed in front was in great shape. It's not on the water, but you could see the water. The main problem is that the land is below the road grade and the extra coupla mil it would probably cost to tear down the house. The shed could be renovated into a small cabin and would be pretty cool.
