@darren it's only recently that I've started to get back into RSS, after downloading a dedicated desktop client called #Akregator!
Any #Akregator users who know of a way to save articles to #ReadwiseReader, without having to open the browser first?
#akregator #readwisereader #pkm #rss #kde #linux #opensourcce
#Akregator for RSS feeds, with #ReadwiseReader for reading articles. Also, #Raindrop for collecting links.
I use #Logseq for my fleeting notes, especially those I take in bullet form, and my journal.
I also use #Obsidian for some source notes and my permanent notes and some of my long-form writing.

Finally tried to *really* set up a desktop #RSS reader. Looked at this good summary by @itsfoss :
https://itsfoss.com/feed-reader-apps-linux/
The starting point was the intersection of those with availability in the #Ubuntu repos.
-- I'm on Gnome, so #Akregator would have been heavy on the KDE-dependencies.
-- #GnomeFeeds is nice, but it really is a simpler structure, and I was looking for more organization.
-- So it's #QuiteRSS for now, I've set it up and like it so far.
-- (Newsboat is also nice for terminal.)

@pingudroid This is quoting one of my earlier toots. I bring up RSS related things often :-)
Nowadays I flip between #QuiteRSS on #Windows, #Liferea on #GNOME and #Akregator on #KDE. ReadKit on #macOS, though I don't think this one is Open Source.
#macOS #KDE #akregator #GNOME #Liferea #Windows #QuiteRSS
Rediscovered #Nitter again recently which offers #RSS #Atom feeds of legacy #Twitter profiles with the URL pattern: :rss: https://nitter.net/IndieGameJams/rss
As for clients, I'm still bitter about #GoogleReader. But nowadays I flip between #QuiteRSS on #Windows, #Liferea on #GNOME and #Akregator on #KDE. ReadKit was nice on #macOS back when I used it too.
Maybe this'll help with your #TwitterMigration?

@imvectech @nasa @APoD ¡Hola! Ya lo veo. Está muy interesante. No obstante, lo tengo en mi lector #feeds 🥰 #akregator que me permite tener todas las noticias en el mismo lugar...¡Una maravilla!
No obstante, agradecido y ya siguiendo @APoD 😉
¡Gracias!
@maxy @kornel RSS is striving. I maintain and use my own RSS reader since more than 12 years:
https://git.sr.ht/~cedric/newspipe
And I am following a huge quantity of feeds, with close to a million of articles in the database.
Never tried Google RSS aggregator. I think before 2009 I was using #akregator .

@ao37 I used to use #akregator. It is a #KDE application. You can install it on #openSUSE with 'zypper in akregator' :)
