An international airport is about a kilometre to the right of this view.

My #MidweekMuseum recommendation this week is #Laufás folk and heritage #museum in #Iceland, not too far from #Akureyri in the north of the country. This is not your normal turf house, as it was a wealthy manor house and vicarage. There's a church there you can visit too, but the house is the main star, and is TARDIS-like in its size inside with corridors and rooms off everywhere in the grassy landscape.

@Blackfist There’s always the arts colony of #Akureyri. Despite being north of the Arctic Circle, a near-miraculous combination of geological phenomena keep it in the 50s and 60s Fahrenheit all year. It’s a pretty town, with lovely public gardens. The only downside? You can only reach it by boat.
