So sad to hear #AlanFrank has passed. The legendary South Africa-born film critic, historian and author was particularly beloved by a generation of horror fans who grew up devouring his colourful books celebrating genre cinema, including Horror Movies: Tales of Terror in the Cinema (1974), Horror Films (1977) and The Horror Film Handbook (1982).
