I'm as pleased as the next person that there's excitement around part 2 of , and I sincerely hope more people become interested in and read the source material, but as far as I am concerned there will only ever be one Dune film, and it was

1. directed by ,
2. completely and utterly impenetrable; and

Watching again. I tried to watch the version but the prologue annoyed me.

The cast is as grand as the design. So many actors that Lynch continued to work with afterwards.

Also appreciate the mix of the biological disgusting mixed with the magestic design of royalty. Plus, there are some disturbing scenes of violence.

Lately there have been articles appreciating the film in contrast to the last two remakes. Perhaps Lynch was doing something right considering the troubled production 😊
