We’re here! We don’t like to fly to LA but we couldn’t make the drive work this time.

With our #Delta flight delayed by more than an hour, @BeanieCam and I were accommodated on an #AlaskaAir flight instead that’s arriving an hour earlier than our original flight would had were it not running 70 min late.

Shoutout to the lovely Delta check in agent who made it so we didn’t miss our 40 min time slot with the #VWIDBuzzLWB

#AlaskaAir has the weirdest, most geeky cookie preference dialogs. They tell you what the cookies are and, in many cases, where they go.

Being nice to the customer service rep may have resulted in me getting 2x $75 vouchers??? #AlaskaAir goated once again.

Well that turned out better than expected. Thought I'd get $20 or so, but instead I got a $75 certificate for travel. Maybe I got lowballed in actuality, but for someone who hates confrontation I call this a W, thanks #AlaskaAir.

This should become a classic development story. A software bug that showed up only under heavy usage led two flights to suffer tail strikes on takeoff. Alaska Air’s on-duty director of operations recognized it as an intolerable coincidence and stopped all of the airline’s flights nationwide. Sanity checks by pilots quickly pointed to bad weight data as the culprit, and the incident led to a needed improvement in the software’s tests.

Two days skiing at Tamarack, one of those days on several inches of freshies. Ran in the McCall Area Snowmobiler’s Annual Fun Run, 80 miles.
