This story is a great example of the inspiration we can all take from Inupiaq and other Alaska Native cultures.
I'll always cherish the time I spent working in Chevak, a Cup’ik village in Western Alaska. I learned a lot, and left with a better and broader perspective on life.

Representative Peltola will be the first Alaska Native woman to serve in the US Congress. That's a historic first, and I know she's gonna do a heck of a job. (She's had a big voice in Alaskan politics for quite some time.)
