Yesterday, we also hiked to the base of Byron Glacier in Chugach National Forest. It was amazing! Chugach National Forest consists of 5.4 million acres.

Gorgeous female moose foraging for food in a lake in Southcentral Alaska. According to photographer Phillip Flippo, the plants gathered from the bottom of a lake are very high in the nutrients and salt moose need.

Every summer, hubby and I go out to a State Rec Area that's about 40 miles from our home to ride/walk on the beach. It's never, ever crowded and has my favorite little beach cabin.
