@Silversnapples I saw the #AlastairSim movie adaptation of "An Inspector Calls" yesterday. The idea that a shopworker would, could, or should be fired for the "impertinence" of smiling at a customer was appalling.

But then it was meant to be, given Priestley's views.

Alastair Sim's "A Christmas Carol" is definitely my favourite version. Sim is fantastic, but Kathleen Harrison as Mrs. Dilber takes it to the next level for me

The Terror, based on a 1938 Edgar Wallace play, owes quite a bit to the Old Dark House genre so popular at the time.

It starts with a daring gold robbery. Later two of the thieves (including the great Alastair Sim) think they've been cheated. Then there's a series of murders at a country house.

A lighthearted mystery romp. Lots of fun.
