Cream - Mother's Lament (Disraeli Gears, 1967)
I'm a bit of a sucker for throwaway and hidden tracks, and this is a favourite of mine and my daughters.
Got me thinking, I might have to organise a #HiddenTracksTop10 challenge.

Nirvana - All Apologies (In Utero, 1993)
Despondency and sparseness, and quite possibly my favourite Dave Grohl drumming.
Rather unbelievably this will be 30 years old this year.
Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See (So Tonight That I Might See, 1993)
Hypnotic.
Deep Purple - Hard Lovin' Man (In Rock, 1970)
Richie Blackmore and Jon Lord freak out. Lord's organ solo is amazing, but Blackmore's playing is full of raw energy and attitude.
Faith No More - Woodpecker from Mars (The Real Thing, 1989)
Heh-Heh-Heh-HEHHH-Heh
Churning Middle Eastern tinged instrumental with a gargantuan bassline from Billy Gould.
Named after Woody Woodpecker.
Helmet - Sam Hell (Betty, 1994)
Page Hamilton embraces his inner Tom Waits.
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt (The Downward Spiral, 1994)
As closers go it's a bit of a downer. Claustrophobic, dark and bleak, but oddly beautiful.
Trent Reznor gave it life, but Johnny Cash gave it meaning.
Mother Love Bone - Crown of Thorns (Apple, 1990)
Grunge ballad.
Love rock awaits you people.
Tortoise - Along the Banks of Rivers (1996)
Cinematic.
Has always reminded me of The Ipcress File by John Barry.
Justice - One Minute to Midnight (2007)
John Carpenter-esque banger.
Mad Season - All Alone (1995)
Sparse atmospheric closer. Beautiful, but depressingly prescient.
Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968)
Manhunter. If you know, you know.
Pink Floyd - Echoes (Meddle, 1971)
Quite possibly the single best song that Pink Floyd ever recorded.
Alice in Chains - Would? (Dirt, 1992)
Hypnotic rhythms and nihilistic lyrics. I've always loved the way that the tribal drum beat and rolling bassline holds the song together, and that final vocal "If I would, could you", dark.
Mark Lanegan - Tiny Grain of Truth (Blues Funeral, 2012)
Closes what I consider to be Lanegan's masterpiece of an album. Seen this referred to as "electro-swamp-pyschedelia" and can't think of a better way of describing it.
Teenage Fanclub - Is This Music? (Bandwagonesque, 1991)
Great instrumental closer. Whether intentional or not this sounds (and feels) like a nod to Big Country and Stuart Adamson's bagpipe guitars.
Temple of the Dog - All Night Thing (Temple of the Dog, 1991)
A closer for the wee hours. A song for reflection and introspection.
Miles Davis - In a Silent Way (In a Silent Way, 1969)
Despite taking up a full side of album on vinyl it's still technically a closer.
The Chemical Brothers - The Private Psychedelic Reel (Dig Your Own Hole, 1997)
Trippy Beatles-esque journey into the 6th dimension.
The Sisters of Mercy - I Was Wrong (Vision Thing, 1990)
Bowie-esque.
