One possible alternate ending would have Naksu shifted into Uk ( maybe Uk took a critical blow, and Naksu in combo with her sword, the ice stone, and JYB’s powers shifted in to protect him), and then later JYB removing the ice stone from Uk’s body, which now contains both Uk and Naksu’s souls . The stone, now even more powerful, becomes a star in the sky, or maybe ends up on top of their tree.

Not the ending I was expecting, but at least it was happy.
I did not expect Uk and Naksu to survive. Both had already died and been reborn so were already living on borrowed time, so I did not expect them to survive.

For my first kdrama post I want to say I'm looking forward to/dreading the final AOS episode. It's been a wild, sometimes uneven ride. I have a feeling that it will be a bitter-sweet ending. My best guess is that both Uk and Naksu don't survive in this world (they've both already died once anyway). But I hope the story can give them a memorable ending that doesn't break our hearts.
Don't know what I'm gonna do to fill the void after tomorrow's finale.

Wow! Despite the change in actor, Go youn jung has done amazingly at portraying Naksu/Jin Bu yeon. Whenever Naksu and Jang Uk would meet, I would notice these little mannerisms and quirks that remind me of Jung so min's Mudeok.

I'm really loving Lee Jae Wook | Jang Uk's darker tone (still with his humor) but the entire episode was just masterful.

I was sad the entire time, seeing the parallels between both of them. Also, the old Cinderella stockholm syndrome is strong, I just hope that isn't why Naksu will fall in love with Jang Uk.
