aaaaah the final episode of Alchemy of Souls 😄
it made me cry, but I love how everything was resolved, with everyone having something to do. While Part 2 was a big mess especially with pacing, this turned out to be a story that the Hong Sisters did not end painfully 🥹

I've waited for them to use the songs from the previous part, but now I understand why they never did. It's masterful how they are using the old music to convey that in that moment, Jang Uk considers Bu-yeon as Naksu.

I watched AoS 1 again right after it ended, to let it sink.
( Same with Red Sleeve by the way).
Besides the main story, romance etc. Hong Sisters give so many hidden clues to World's folklore and myths in all their dramas, it is a sport to find them, as far as I am able to.
Most intriguing is the link to King Arthur receiving Excalibur from the Lady of The Lake.

I'm really loving the light and shadow scene effects that Alchemy of Souls S2 is all about. I hope that as Jang Uk returns to normal, so does his lighting. This series consistently has some of the best cinematography in a KDrama!

In the first season, she failed to understand that #Mudeok is her daughter. No matter how many clues she had!
S02:
- she keeps her daughter in solitary confinement
- she want to merry her daughter to a stranger
- she only intent to use Naksu to get a female hire
- after she used Naksu as a kind of birthing machine, she want's to put her in solitary confinement for the rest of her live
Thats pretty dark!
