I never thought I'd make it this far but part of me wonders if it's worth it considering all of the hate and terror organizations out there and no rights to our own bodies. The men, the Christian's, and the nazi groups, I'm scared to leave the house; might be a good time to pick up drinking again.

of the day: anyone familiar with resources on how Anonymous and other programs evolved out of the ?

I finished reading a biography of Frank Buchman, who founded the Oxford Groups (an explicitly organization) and the relationship is discussed briefly.

According to the biography, the founders of AA were originally members of OG and the book portrays split as amicable.

I'd like to understand more deeply AA's roots and evolution

I got 1/4 through a Shirley temple before i realized it didn't taste right

I was served an alcoholic drink when I asked for a non alcoholic drink

245 days of sobriety just got ruined and it wasn't my choice 💔

I'm struggling to fight the urge to start sobbing in the club

My family has buried several and will likely bury more. I just wish they would stop drinking. I can’t make them. I cannot make the sober or be sober for them. I’ll continue to stay on my journey. It’s been 2144 days and so won’t stop.

@dusnm @katharsisdrill @pixelfed I don't drink anymore, i found it didn't work well for me, i also had in my family growing up.

Does that mean i should call for alcohol not publicly being available? Should i go around saying it's bad to others publicly?

Does that mean people shouldn't be able to consume it or that anyone who does is somehow enabling ?

Anything that someone could have an issue with could be targeted in this way.
