#OnThisDay, 1 April 1983, around 200 women dressed as teddy bears or Easter bunnies break into the Greenham Common airbase in the UK to stage a protest picnic against nuclear warfare. Greenham was due to house US nuclear missiles.
A further 40,000 protestors, men and women, form a human chain linking Greenham to #Aldermaston and Burghfield.

Day 21 of the 2022 #dragonfly #AdventCalendar. Scarce Blue-tailed #damselfly has a blue tail and is pretty scarce. If you look closely, the blue patch is closer to the end of the abdomen than the normal Blue-tailed. I'm sure you can guess how to distinguish it from the two species of Red-eyed Damselfly, which also have blue tails. This was on a British Dragonfly Society guided walk near #Aldermaston. #Berkshire #wildlife #insects #wildlifephotography
