I can't be certain, but this looks like original acid-etched details on one of the windows of Alexander 'Greek' Thomson's 1860s Eton Terrace in the Hillhead area of Glasgow.

If it is original, it's pretty impressive it's survived so long. If it's not, it's a very good imitation of Thomson's style.

The Greek-style portico of the south wing of Lilybank House in the west end of Glasgow. The original classical-style villa was built in 1850, while this south wing was added by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson in the 1860s.

Interestingly, a north wing was added later another highly influential firm of Glasgow architects: Honeyman Keppie and MacKintosh.

Love this decoration on 43 Oakfield Avenue in the Hillhead area of Glasgow. Just from this alone, you'd probably guess the building was designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson, and you'd be right. It's part of his Eton Terrace development which was built in 1865.

Built in an Graeco-Egyptian style in 1865, the modern shop fronts on the ground floor make this building all to easy to overlook, but it's a thing of subtle beauty, especially the columns between the windows on the second floor.

The former Pollokshields West Church on Shields Road in Glasgow. Built in the 1870s, and designed by W.G. Rowan, this church has more than a hint of Alexander 'Greek' Thomson about it, right down to the tall, square tower at one corner and the Egyptian-style palm frond motifs.

Built in 1857 for paper magnate James Couper, this shows 'Greek' Thomson's true genius, and has elements which seem to be echoed in Charles Rennie MacKintosh's designs for domestic houses almost half a century later.

The Greek Revival masterpiece (mixed with Egyptian motifs) that is Millbrae Crescent in Langside in Glasgow.

Despite dating from 1876 (the year after he died), it has an incredibly strong Alexander 'Greek' Thomson vibe to it. This is because is was most likely designed either by Thomson himself or by Thomson Robert Turnbull, Thomson's architectural partner.
