One thing I'm not sure everyone who uses social media understands is how difficult it is for corporations to manipulate a platform that doesn't have algorithms. This is a good thing for regular users.

It's also why corporations and brands are so tied to FB and the Hellsite.

Very helpful. I’m still puzzled that this design feature seems to result in far fewer uses of the ⭐️ compared to the boost. Being #AlgorithmFree here has me using the star way MORE for posts I agree with, find funny or insightful—precisely because it doesn’t feel performative.
