Wanted to skip the :birdsite: commentary but Musk announcing that the updated Twitter algorithm will only boost content from folks paying $8 is just mind-boggling.
Definitely not the #AlgorithmTransparency people advocate for.
Expect lots of crucial #civilsociety work to go unseen while new audiences need to be build up elsewhere.
Sad consequence of corporate platform Dependencies — will this finally boost calls for public information and communication infrastructures?
