Ok I worked too many hours today, and now I’m ready for another day off. Happy Independence Day USA! I’m glad you’re here, and I’m blessed to have the day off paid. I love hiring new staff when it’s their FIRST EVER paid day off. I remind them, “you get to hang out and do whatever you want or nothing at all and you’re getting paid!” Holidays are so important for my mental health. ❤️
So grateful to work for an employer with decent paid vacation, plus 6 floating holidays and 2 weeks increasing vacation (each year you accrue more). This is an excellent deal for US nonprofit employers. #Alhamdulilah

Made some T-shirts for the fam yesterday, with #HalalAs on them. This is an attempt to merge #Muslim and #Kiwi cultures into one. I’ve got some other designs for shirts planned, InshAllah, that will attempt the same thing. I’m a #KiwiMuslim now (#Alhamdulilah), and I want the world to know it.

With 2022 about to end in another week or so I find myself in a pensive mood. Thinking a lot of how hard this year has been but hopeful for better days ahead in 2023. Regardless, grateful always for family, friends and blessings great and small known and unknown. #Alhamdulilah
