As a mythical archetype beyond the original tale and certainly beyond Disney's kitch interpretation, Alice has always meant a lot to me personally, so it took a while for me to feel brave enough to attempt to do her justice

The image this was based on was a photograph for a dress shop was initially just a study I did not intend to share. Still, after a couple of hours of work, the only original thing I kept was collaging the hands into the piece and the elemental composition of the pose that inspired me.
I know I am not an artist I liked the effect of this one.

The best one I've seen was a weird European artsy version--I forget the title--where the whole thing took place in one house, and it was a good (or at least interesting) movie, but it wasn't a good adaptation.
