I finished rewatching the fifth and final season of #Fringe yesterday
One thing I noticed this time around is that seasons 1-4 are generally quite low in intensity except for spikes in their finales, whereas season 5 starts with known stakes that are higher so it manages to have a more intense baseline
I'm grateful that they were given the opportunity to wrap up the show properly
Very much enjoyed this rewatch
It didn't leave me in a crying mess the way #Alias and #Lost did, although it does have a few emotional moments, and the ending is the perfect book-end to the origin of the series' universe (which I don't think is actually unveiled until season 2 or 3)
Anna Torv plays another FBI agent in #Mindhunter (TV series on #Netflix) which I highly-recommend
Joshua Jackson is probably better known for his role on #DawsonsCreek , which I rewatched early last year ( https://aus.social/@jokeyrhyme/107908825197470560 ) and which unfortunately makes it hard for others to enjoy Fringe
Jasika Nicole voices the excellent #AliceIsntDead fiction podcast which has a similar vibe to Fringe but with more horror and conspiracy
John Noble is thoroughly captivating in various shades of a broken man both in Fringe and in his role in #TheLordOfTheRings movies, which I haven't rewatched in probably more than a decade and now I'm getting that itch...
#fringe #alias #lost #mindhunter #netflix #dawsonscreek #aliceisntdead #thelordoftherings
OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN FINALE FOR LESBIAN-TRUCKER-HORROR-FIGHTER-PODCAST DROPPED!!!!
Like I'm not gonna listen 'till a while later today, but I am SO HYPED.
Finally* got around to listening to the second-to-last episode of #AliceIsntDead, and.. within the FIRST MINUTE it's already pulling at my heart.
GOD, this show.
(* Eh, a week after it dropped. But it had been sitting in my queue all that time.)
The action of reading far too much into the coincidence of @HTHR and the significance of heather in #AliceIsntDead .
