Al is an artistic polymath and impresario I knew in late 80s DC when he was king of alt-nightlife in #AdamsMorgan. We met and became friends at his rooftop #KitschTiki bar, #Krakatoa Lounge.

Al liked my pictures and gave me confidence when I was just beginning to shoot with intention.

I learned this minute he's Art Critic at #NewArtExaminer in #Phoenix. Because of course he is! 😊

#Rehoboth was/is "Liberal DC at the Beach" summer weekends, and I was #shocked to run into Al on the #boardwalk in a Polo shirt and shorts. Fish-what-water? But there he was.

Al's still around and radical as ever. We lost touch 10 years ago. If anyone knows/of Al, please...
