On twt, a list of beautiful phrases to post on Weverse, but also useful for learning/practising and just basically feeling better about the world.

Irony is me trying to pronounce this sentence: 별로 안 어려워요 [It's not too difficult].
Not me just figuring out that 마음에 들다, 'to like', [보면 볼수록 마음에 들어요; The more I see it, the more I like it] kinda means 'to enter into one's mind/heart'. I think that's beautiful.

And I meant to mention this web site which makes it pretty easy to learn the Korean keyboard and start using it.

re: learning Korean
I was quite excited last week to get my keyboard set up so that I can easily switch to Korean.
I'm still at the "learning alphabet and constructing syllables" level of the language, and working it on the keyboard is easier because it shows you the construction of the syllables in real time.
Also, because of my tremor I can't write well long hand.
Still working random vocabulary from words I encounter. See the pics.

안 -아/-어/-여도 돼요 do not have to; ie 안 해도 대요, [to self, politely] you do not have to travel overseas to see Yoongi's concert
(-으)면 안 돼요 you should not; ie 하면 안 돼요, you shouldn't travel overseas to see Yoongi's concert because $$$$$
-지 마세요 do not; ie 하지 마세요 DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
(I've no idea if this is actually correct, but I gave it a go. 해외 여행 - overseas travel)
해외 여행을 안 가도 돼요
해외 여행을 가면 안 돼요
해외 여행을 가지 마! 가! 지! 마!
Reviewing -(으)리가 없어요 ('it cannot be-; 'it's impossible that-') and accepting that I'm never going to be a speaker because how-?!?!?!?!?:
'내일이 일요일일 리가 없어요'
And the irony of me struggling with 어려워요
So... I guess... 한국말 할 리가 없어요?
😂😂😭😭
Korean studying check in. I did a somewhat difficult tutoring session last night, but I knew I just needed to get back into working with my 선생님. She is the nicest, most patient teacher! Familiar words with different particles were tripping me up. #ALKCheckIn #ARMYLearnsKorean
My #ALKCheckIn I need to review my days of the week! And all I’m doing is watching reels and trying out filters😂. I Need to harness some focus or just watch an episode of Run BTS because I’m an adult, and I make the rules.

ARMY learning Korean here! 😍
This week I’m learning some vocabulary, how to say “this is” and using this vocabulary with some prepositions of place.
It’s so interesting how my mind learns Korean. I learn something (my brain collapses of reading Hangul, understanding grammar, trying to remember new vocabulary), next day I forget it almost completely, then I have to re-learn it again. Next day, almost every forgotten, re-learn again. And so on… until some things stick. 😅
🇰🇷 fighting! #ALKCheckIn
@gingertabbie OH way to go!! 💜
I have been so busy this week and have missed it. You've inspired me to put aside an hour tomorrow too. :fingerheart_2:
Will hopefully finish reviewing Talk To Me In Korean L2 tomorrow. Not surprised but a bit disappointed in how much I've forgotten, but keep reminding myself it's all about the practice and building up memory muscle 😆😊.
@cinderdazzle612 Meanwhile, I continue to study the alphabet! And I am slowly learning some of it, so that's cool. #ALKCheckin
#ALKCheckIn so here is what I was working on today a verb template for a just for me Korean translation of Lamp WFL to cue myself as I learn how to use these forms. Each Korean verb I know could have the same pictures and format, so I get to practice inputting them in the app as well as have all the common conjugations I need for writing or even speaking Korea . Formality and politeness and honorifics are a feature I’ll be designing into vocabulary page as well #aac
#ALKCheckIn Making progress on designing a working proof of concept to explain using communication technology #aac in language learning in a way respects intellectual property but can share my idea, so below is a layout of a page of Lamp WFL an app available on Apple devices that nonspeaking or minimally speaking people may use. Embedded into the design is visual cues for language learning.
Swept through a review of Talk To Me In Korean Lv 1 last week, but pulled up short with Lv 2. Aiming to review 3 lessons 4x week, but some days can only fit in 1. I think that's okay though - happy to keep ticking along 😊 #ALKCheckIn
#ALKCheckIn next goal: be more comfortable with the whole telling what time it is thingy. im gonna try to tell what time it is in korean every time i check the time on my phone~
#ALKCheckIn
-today i spoke korean with native speakers (not many sentences but still!)
-i studied the -ㄹ 까요 structure, used to ask sb's opinion abt smth or suggest smth (e.g. shall we take a walk?)
-learned some vocabulary abt emotions
-understood a bit better topic and subject particles!
im very happy abt this, i feel like im progressing!
#ALKCheckIn every few months I give a good look to a list of words that were identified by a group of US based Korean speaking researchers in my field (speech therapy) that might be useful for Korean #aac. I’m sure there are similar articles written in Korean, but I can’t access them. Plus I’ve look at some older articles on Korean language development, and all those are written with romanizations that just confuse me.
