Random #childhoodmemory from when I was 10 or 11. Semi-rural suburb in NE #Pennsylvania, just outside of #Allentown. Playing football in our back yard with a bunch of kids from the neighborhood.

There’s some shaking in a large maple tree. One of the kids says, “it’s a monkey!” We all laughed and said that was silly, it was just a squirrel. But he insisted he had seen a monkey.

A little later in the game, more rustling in the maple. This time we ALL saw it. It absolutely was a small monkey!

This is a picturesque view from a footbridge in Lehigh Parkway located at Park Dr and Academy Rd. The sun is setting on this portion of the parkway, which is located in a valley. This footbridge crosses over the Little Lehigh Creek as it, and the water it carries, bends eastward through the parkway. This image was captured on Good Friday - April 2, 2021 from the bridge itself. It's a fairly brisk 35 degrees for this time of the year. Some trees in the area are beginning to flower, but most are still mostly bare of leaves.
