Common Ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is one of the worst irritants for allergy sufferers since it's primarily wind-pollinated. Also being on once a year visits to Crumlin now is surreal. It used to be every few weeks. It's just mad how far he's come. I want to tell you something about anaphylactic shock, in case, like me, you have a severe allergic reaction and don’t recognise it.

It involves a massive, sudden blood pressure drop. You feel weak, sweaty, faint, maybe sleepy or nauseous.

We think anaphylactic shock is about an inability to breathe. That’s not what I experienced, so didn’t realise what was happening in time to get myself emergency care for the most dangerous part - the first 30 minutes or so.
