If what I want to do is stuff these into a graph database I have a Few Problems™. Mostly I need to normalize them.

This is where the #framing concept and the #expansion algorithms come into play. They give me ways of canonically ascertaining that two references are actually describing the same thing and coerce them into something sensible. This is also why there are so many rules about chucking things out you don't get.
