In the show #AlloAllo, French people working with the Resistance dress as Nazis to steal things, including a famous work of art. Nazis dress as Resistance fighters to steal from their own armoured trucks. English pilots disguise themselves as anything and everything to stay hidden from the Nazis. This is all part of a normal day in occupied France.

This show would cause an outcry in parts of the U.S. now because the painting is partially nude and the disguises are often of the opposite sex. The activities of the Nazis and the occasional gunplay are fine. Drag and paintings of boobs are not.
