I follow @DavidPB and since then I find a lot of wonderful pictures of and in my timeline - thank you, David.
Since years I wished to have this type of garden again, but it was not to be - my grandmother's beloved garden was sold after her death (and I did not have the money to buy it) and here in Jordan the little space around our terrace just so bears some citrus trees and a fig and a peach. Vegetables, herbs and flowers - I tried them all but nothing survives.

Apples are ripe! Making apple chips and our house smells like cinnamon. (I’d show you the finished product but my son has eaten them all)

Allotmenteers what are your favourites / recommendations for planting out or sowing now in the UK on ground cleared after potatoes?

One of my absolute favourite wildflowers, Self-heal. It's probably a bit underrated because it's so ubiquitous, but it is beautiful. This is in the grass underneath the apple trees in our allotment. It was rock hard solid clay only a few years ago, covered in horsetail. Now we've got a fine mix of grasses, and gradually increasing diversity (wild carrot, common knapweed, red clover, oxeye daisy - mostly introduced via plug planting)

I shopped yesterday. My local supermarket is out of stock of regular items like vegan pies. Staff say supply chains have been broken since and rod damage. Disruption to ordinary lives from is likely to be an ongoing issue.

Good to see growth of in Aotearoa New Zealand. Hope this flows into and community sharing. Some people could offer skills in exchange for food or just give and hope for gifts too, Like

In a mad old world, working on our allotment soothes my mind enormously. But there are other benefits such as chocolate and strawberry pavlova made with allotment strawberries. What's not to like?

Six foot four lovage plant flowering in the allotment plot. Are they usually this tall? Can't see the flowers from down here but looks like there's quite a bit of invert interest already

Rambling rector rose going nuts over our allotment fence. It's growing out of the compost pile so it's pretty happy!

I've been growing food on my plot for 5 years, and I never get tired of the thrill of bringing home little baskets of produce. It might not look supermarket perfect, but I know the taste and quality is far superior.

Making potions. Horsetail tea for magnesium deficiency and hopefully, tomato blight control. 🤞

I decided to spend the entire day at the plot, if anything just to have a break from the news. Got the tomatoes strung, fixed the corners of broken raised beds, planted out a few of the sweet potato slips in bags of saved top soil. Disturbed a young slow worm, and spent a lot of time admiring the hoverflies, damselflies and bees. And a general tidy up. I think it's what is referred to as self care.

Three flowers that happily self seed on my plot. Aren't they just lovely?

Oxeyes only just opening in the mini-meadow! (I say meadow but really it was a load of rough grasses outside the allotment I've been gradually pulling out - being the big herbivore replacement)
