@AITA These are reasonable tasks under the circumstances and furthermore Allie needs to learn ASAP!! that a person's value is not dependent on their #productivity. Also good for Eli to learn this as regards himself!
The reason we "do chores" is to mutually improve our households/society, not just to get money. So it can be helpful to uncouple #allowance from #chores in any case.

Something I wish I knew whilst working at my former place of #Employment; I could have claimed a #MileagePayment #Allowance with my cycling commute.

Word for the wise, check out your company's allowances if you're #Cycling to and from #Work. They're not gonna tell you these things.
