Sex work is often the most accessible job for disabled people, and transgender people. As disabilities are more common in groups oppressed under white supremacy (BIPOC, women, and 2SLGBTQIA+) supporting disability advocates, and sex workers rights is part of anti-racism work, and 2SLGBTQIA+ allyship. We're all connected, and we all benefit from better policies that respect autonomy, and improve workers rights.

I finally received a response from the editorial board of The Pioneer. If you missed it, the TL;DR recap is that my local paper chose to publish a letter from a Bernadette MacDonald, filled with transphobic hate speech and fearmongering, next to several graphics of pride flags and a letter that I wrote calling for active #allyship towards #2SLGBTQIA+ people in our community.

What I find about David and his allyship with the #LGBTQ community is that it is genuine. It’s not just something that he dons once a year for Pride Month and then goes back to pretending like we don’t exist for the rest of the year.

Allies, please do not tag 'LGBT' or 'queer' for posts of you dunking on people who think we shouldn't exist. Filling the tag for my community with your non-CWed posts that quote the most vile queerphobic shit is not allyship. Even if you're criticising the queerphobia you've still subjected thousands of queer people to hateful shit that we already hear a dozen times a day. Tag it with homophobia or transphobia instead. I follow LGBT hashtags to see my community. Do better. You getting likes is not more important that our well-being.
