I might have a black thumb, but I can grow #aloe vera like nobodies business! I've got 3 generations of it going, and grandma just started growing a bloom again! This is the second year it's made seeds, I can't wait to post more pictures, the aloe flowers are so cool! #BloomScrolling

I can't grow aloe plants.
My husband, on the other hand, got one from a bartender a couple of years ago and it's blooming. I've never even seen an aloe flower before now.

i'm using some #aloe to heal a cut on the side of my toe. every time i use aloe, i'm just amazed. the aloe plant uses the healing properties of its juicy insides to heal its *own* wounds, and the same stuff heals *my* wounds. if that doesn't tell you how much us & the plants are related, then i don't know what will!

It may be 90° tomorrow! Enough warmer here so the yellow aloe flowers are starting to bloom in Phoenix. On April 15 last year it was the first day we used A/C. Looks like same coming this year.

I rescued some half dead Aloe Vera plants out of the trash last autumn, and potted them. Not much happened over the winter, other than die-off of most of each plant. I pruned, fed, and babied, and am now starting to see fresh growth.
The plan is to get 'em growing happy and zappy, and transfer to a large porch planter later. We have palm trees here; Aloe can take Rhineland winters.
Aloe is an easy plant to work with, as it tolerates much butt-crackery.
