After the success of Alone Australia, I’ve had a great idea for a new reality TV show.
It’s called “Alone Australian” and we get to watch ten plucky people dropped, completely alone, into the middle of a housing crisis and rely only on their wits and a dodgy internet connection to access the services they need to survive.

I will say that in the season finale last night the show stepped up big time - it was genuinely impressive and tense and I think the winner (no spoilers) was a worthy one. #aloneaustralia
#aloneaustralia watch party with some of my #natureconnection friends. Most of us have met #ginachick and are rooting for her. Go Gina!!!

I'm not giving away the winner, because it is still ongoing (just), but all power to these last two contestants.
Give them both the money. Both deserving, both amazing, both so strong...
This series has been inspiring.

Feeling very privileged eating some meat, veg and ice cream for dinner while watching the season finale of #AloneAustralia
And it reminds me that I am very privileged in general to have a roof, food, health, family and friends...
#AloneAustralia is not great compared to the recent seasons of #Alonetv from the US. But I forgive it because it is actually very comparable to the American season 1: mild climate, lots of limp early dropouts, but still some really good characters.
I'm hopeful season two they'll find a harsher location and attract people that can handle it much better!
Humans are highly social creatures. So what can a show like #AloneAustralia tell us about coping with isolation? Great piece by

Just watching #AloneAustralia and thinking we’re made of softer stuff than our overseas equivalents, so many have tapped out by episode 2. They don’t even have bears, wolves or serious predators to contend with like the USA version.
I don't watch much TV, but occasionally, a show comes up that the wife and I can watch together. Alone Australia on SBS is that show for 2023..
I can't remember the last reality TV show I watched - a few episodes of Masterchef when it first came out, maybe? But Alone Australia speaks to the cub scout leader / camper in me but it's also very well shot and edited. Add to this a cast of genuinely interesting and authentic people and it's top class entertainment.
