@karadoc Yep, my household is strictly "Midwest Vegetarian" - i.e. Poultry & Fish, because my Nest Mate was bit by a lone star tick who fed on a deer. She has the #AlphaGal allergy now. No hoofed meat for her.

Since my wife and I were both diagnosed with alpha gal, my diet has been mostly #pescatarian but often #vegan. I thought I would miss meat much more than I have. So it’s confirmed: I am in the unenviable position of having contracted Alpha Gal Syndrome. It’s a tick-borne illness that makes those infected allergic to mammal meat/products. It’ll be an adjustment for sure. I don’t usually share health info, but this is such an unusual disease I feel like it makes sense to talk about it.
