- Many authors do limit distractions by turning off notifications, using lower-tech devices like #trs80model100 or #AlphaSmart
- Momentum is key, even if it's just 100 words a day; make sure to set aside time
- Find a way to make writing easy; don't worry about using The Correct Software or The Correct Workflow
- Figure out your flow-inducing conditions and use them, if you're doing a big write.

Not sure why I hadn’t though of this before, just didn’t cross my mind, but the #AlphaSmart #Dana can happily run on a USB power bank. Add the rechargeable battery hack and a set of standard rechargeable batteries and the issue with the Dana’s insatiable appetite for power all but goes away. This thing will run for days on this set up.

Another option is to have the dana type out the text for you over usb cable to your computer. AlphaWord [1]
