Many apps, both Android and iOS, have an option to remind you to proved Alt Text.
On my app the option is under Settings.

These hashtags were created for that reason:
#AltTextForMe - someone using a screen reader is requesting an alt text description
#AltTextForYou - used as a reply in which we type an alt text for those who don't, this alerts screen reader users that a description to the above posting is being provided.
