Few things make the two political parties in the #USA happier than for people to think that there can only be two political parties.
A duopoly is only slightly better than a monopoly.
Our country can do SO MUCH better!
If you want #Mastodon to be better than the others, then don't lower yourself to the same standards as the others.
You can allow differing opinions without having to chastise. You can disagree without name-calling. You can respond with your point of view without having to incorrectly call out a race or party (i.e. not all Republicans are evil, just like not all Democrats are evil).
If you don't, this will become just another platform.
The #SupremeCourt is supposed to be the best of what our country's judicial system represents. Not only is it supposed to be the best, it HAS to.
Because when it isn't the best, we as a country lose. We lose pride, we lose trust, we lose faith in the system as a whole.
If the top judges can break the rules, then what do we tell our kids when we are trying to teach them right from wrong? What does a teacher teach in an ethics class at that point?
Be curious enough to learn
Be wise enough to listen
Educate yourself enough to understand
Take enough time before choosing

Don't allow people to let you think they are smarter or wiser than you just because of their bank account.
Wise people rarely spend money on mansions and expensive cars while those in need are still in need.
Every Sunday, millions of people go to church to worship a god who had a son that was never rich. In fact, he told rich people to give up their worldly possessions.
Yet, we let those representing them convince others they need a jet, arena for a church, etc.
If you voted for someone, knowing they were an idiot when you voted for them, then the problem is no longer on the idiot!
